It was at the very start of 2015 I made the huge decision to change my life. Disillusioned with work that provided no challenge, I started to make a plan to organise my finances in way that would allow me temporary freedom for the future.
Freedom to have adventures in things that I could not have considered while working, but still maintaining a roof over my head while exploring.
Sometimes, you need to step back in order to move forward with life. 2015 has certainly provided me with a multitude of lessons learned.
- Taking the time to explore my passions helped me determine what I really want to do in the future.
- Going out of my comfort zone physically and mentally built strength and confidence in my own abilities.
- Enjoy the people you meet, I have learnt so much from others this year and expanded my mind.
- Helping others less fortunate not only brings joy but makes you appreciate the simple things in life.
I am not sure what 2016 will bring, I certainly need a plan to earn some pennies (yes Mum – I hear ya!) I am sure that whatever I choose it will definitely bring a better work / life balance than I had previously. For now the adventure is not yet over and I am looking forward to spending time in Australia and exploring the SA State and hopefully getting some more pics of those tricky great white sharks.
In order to appropriately round up my year, here are some of my personal favourite blogs as a recap of my adventures.
There is something in my room.
I really hope I get to write more of this type of thing in 2016. It has been a wonderful year, full of amazing memories and people that I would never have met if I hadn’t made that decision so I am truly grateful for the opportunity that I have had.
Wishing everyone a fabulous 2016 !
